I had to slightly change the tapering of the blade because my blade has a diamond cross section without hollow ground.
I wanted to keep a similar weight distribution on the entire sword and the same balance.
So the blade is the same 9.5mm thick at the base, about 5.6mm in the middle and above 3.5mm near the tip (original 4,3mm).
It is still very stiff.
We also do not know exactly where the blade thickness was measured.
Because every 1 cm in the blade length measurement can make a difference.
Especially since many original swords did not have a perfectly tapered (from crossgaurd to the tip).
Ultimately, I believe that the sword is very similar to the original in terms of dimensions and weight distribution, which is reflected in the same balance too.
